Land Stewardship Palouse Land Trust ensures the long-term protection of conservation values on properties where we hold a permanent interest through conservation agreements or ownership. Our stewardship team conducts regular site visits, engages directly with landowners, and responds to any emerging issues to uphold the terms of each agreement. We actively manage a growing network of conservation preserves, advancing best practices in habitat restoration, ecological monitoring, and community access. All stewardship activities, landowner correspondence, and management documentation are maintained in a secure, centralized record keeping system to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuity.

Land Protection Palouse Land Trust partners with willing landowners to permanently protect open spaces that sustain our region's natural and cultural heritageranging from family farms and working forests to critical wildlife corridors and rare Palouse Prairie ecosystems. We use voluntary conservation agreements (conservation easements) as our primary tool and work collaboratively with nonprofit, business, and government partners to achieve lasting outcomes that benefit both the land and its stewards. Since 1995, we have been a trusted, knowledgeable partner across a nine-county region in north-central Idaho and southeastern Washington, advancing community-driven conservation solutions.
