RAVE Provides respite care for caregivers of children with disabilities, special health care needs, children in foster care, and their siblings aged 3 months to 22 years old. Respite services are provided by respite staff and trained youth volunteers and are available to families residing in Nevada. By providing temporary emotional relief from the constant care and loving attention our families provide essentially to their children, we are allowing a reprieve that strenthens the quality of care parents and guardians deliver. During the year ended June 30, 2023, RAVE served more than 330 families, 580 children, and provided more than 760 respite sessions. The number of children cared for increased 10% and the number of respite sessions increased 15% over the prior year. When compared to pre-pandemic levels of service, the number of children cared for has increased 65% and the number of respite sessions has increased 129%.
