CHAA (Community Health for Asian Americans) offers the core of a system of care for Asian Pacific Islnder youth and their families by addressing critical issues in multiple life domans with integreated interventions across the entire wellnes continum, to strength teh overall care structure for participating youth and their fmailies, and to engage youth participants in positive youth development thata evolves over the course of the initiative into homegrown advocacy. CHAA prevention services include: mental health, alcohol/drug prevention, domestic violence, a community mobilizing/organizing, and youth development. Treatment-Child/Youth and Adult: CHAA delivers a full range of mental health servcies provided by a multi-disciplinary staff that includes psychiatrist,psychologists,licensed clinicians, and other mental health specialists. Its treatment philosopy is strength based and community based It offers crisis intervention, comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, medication management, short and long-term counseling, psycho educational groups, case management to address a wide range of mental health problems including depression anxiety,post traumatic stress disorder, chonic mental illnes and somatic disorders.
