BAYCAT addresses racial, gender and economic inequity by creating powerful, authentic media while diversifying the creative industry. In 2024, BAYCATs Digital Media Pathways Program delivered hands-on digital media training to a total of 247 aspiring creatives, including young storytellers (ages 11-17), Studio interns (ages 18-25), Career Success Intensive workshop participants, and alumni. Our pre-vocational and vocational film and digital arts programs were delivered in-person at BAYCATs Dogpatch headquarters. During the summer of 2024, we brought back our summer media camp. We also again held our annual event, InFocus, a professional mixer with 150 alumni and emerging creative attendees in attendance that creates space for them to network and create meaningful connections with recruiters and professionals from Walt Disney Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and Marvel Studios. Our Studio produced 15 media deliverables for 10 community partners, including nonprofits, philanthropy, and local government agencies.
