World Tong-Il Moo-Do Federation is a very unique martial arts organization in that we educate students who practice martial arts in a deeper philosophy of martial arts which guides them to become responsible individuals and create ideal families thereby making a better society that results in realizing a world of peace. At WTMF we emphasize the importance of philosophy in a way more than actual practice of martial arts. In our view, the philosophy we teach corresponds to the human mind and actual practice of martial arts corresponds to human body. The body cannot function without mind. Based on this understanding, WTMF offers lectures of our philosophy to all participants of our events. We invite students of martial arts from any schools to our events to share our philosophy with them and hopefully work together to start building a better world. The followings are the activities we performed in-person:1.12th Mombasa Open Tong-il Moo Do International Martial Arts Championship, Mombasa, KenyaFrom December 10 to 23, 2025Martial artists from 53 nations including USA, Germany, Australia, UK, South Korea, Japan, and Argentina participated. 2.46th Anniversary of Tong-il Moo-Do Style Martial Art Celebration, South KoreaApril 15, 2025This was to celebrate the founding of Tong-il Moo-Do. Over 200 participants from 16 nations gathered. General public as well as our associates who practice Tong-Il Moo-Do especially those who are interested in any form of martial arts are benefitted from these programs. Around 700 people attended these programs. There are two kinds of participants to our program. One is those who are practicing martial arts and the other is those who are not practicing it but interested in watching martial arts matches. For the former, we offer various events in which they can compete against each other. At the same time, for the latter the same events can be the opportunities to watch and enjoy many highly skilled martial artists showing their skills and techniques. These events will well serve as a vehicle to demonstrate not only technical aspects but also the beauty of martial arts to the spectators. We also offer lectures on the philosophy of Tong-Il Moo-Do. It starts with mind-body unity to perfect our individuality. It then emphasizes these individuals are the ones who can serve as the citizens of world peace.
