For FY 2023/2024 the agency accomplished the following: Food Assistance; Agency provided weekly suplemental food distributions for 1,852 unduplicated low-income households living in the western Coachella Valley, including 5,142 individuals, (2,275 adults, 1,307 seniors, and 1,570 children). For FY 2023/2024 the agency distributed approximately 989,785 pounds of food, enough food for approximately 1,350,000 meals. Homeless Needs Program: The agency provides ready-to-eat meals for unsheltered clientsHome Deliveries: The agency provides home dliveries of weekly food distributions for clients who are housebound due to a medical condition or face transportation barriers. Childrens Backpack Weekend Meal Program: Food Now has an MOU with Palm Springs Unified School District to provide chronicxally hungry children with addition meals for the students to take home on weekends.Companion Pet Food Distribution: Food Now provides weekly distributions of pet food when available.
