The Housing Rights Center has twenty five (28) other smaller pass-through contracts with other Southern California cities utilizing CDBG funds to provide similar fair housing services to community residents. During its 2022-2023 fiscal year, the Housing Rights Center provided fair housing services to the City of Los Angeles as a sub-recipient of federal CDBG grant funds. This program assisted 7,386 individuals with housing concerns. 1,283 of which involved potential discrimination issues. HRC conducted factual investigations for 149 of these complaints to remedy possible legal disputes. HRC also provided the City's residents with a diverse outreach/education program consisting of presentations, media campaigns, trainings events and other related activities.
