Mission to Children MTC works with international Christian partners to provide humanitarian and educational services to children living in under resourced communities in developing countries. The organization supports local partners by funding community based outreach activities that provide meals and age appropriate educational instruction along with training resources designed to support childrens physical emotional and spiritual development. MTC primarily serves children who face food insecurity family instability and limited access to supportive community resources. The organization focuses on collaborative outreach programs implemented by local partners recognizing that long term effectiveness depends on local leadership and community involvement. MTC carries out its work through its FEED Find-Equip-Evangelize-Disciple framework which emphasizes cooperation among partner organizations to efficiently deliver services to children in under-resourced and distressed communities. The framework is designed to align resources training and outreach activities while avoiding duplication of services. Using this framework MTC has partnered with 1for50 and Thirdmill to connect front-line Christians with training and educational curriculum for childrens ministry leaders. MTC refers potential field partners to partner resources and supports outreach activities that apply this training in local communities. These activities include meal distribution educational instruction and connections between children and local churches. Plans for program expansion include identifying regional leadership to oversee field coordination and community or medical centers in various locations of need. East Africa Program Results In Uganda MTC supported 20 outreach activities that provided meals and educational instruction to 13,088 children. Program reports recorded 3,396 professions of faith in Jesus Christ and follow up indicated continued participation by children in local educational and community programs. In Malawi MTC supported monthly feeding and educational activities serving approximately 1,400-3,000 children at 61 childcare centers in the Mangochi region through a local field partner. During the same fiscal year additional outreach events reached 16,900 children and youth with implementation supported by partner organizations and community volunteers. In Kenya and Burundi MTC began collaborative outreach activities with its partner 1for50. Through three outreach events 1,898 children received meals and educational instruction accompanied by training for local childrens ministry workers. Other Educational Resources MTC also developed a Thankfulness Guide a Bible-centered educational resource designed to support leadership development and program continuity among partner organizations. The gospel-centered guide is used as part of training and mentoring efforts for future leaders in childrens programs.
