THE GLENDON ASSOCIATION/PSYCHALIVE 2025 PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTSpresentationsWe presented 5 pro bono workshops and webinars on critical mental health issues. We offered courses on mental health topics including Suicide Prevention and Response and Adolescent Mental Health Therapy at a nominal fee for mental health professionals (with lower fee option for non-professionals). Over 500 individuals attended these presentations.We presented 5 live and virtual workshops, locally and nationally on the following topics: Effective Treatment of Suicide in Youth, Developing Secure Attachment, The Fantasy Bond and Attachment for Clergy, Attachment and Relationships and Healing Attachment Wounds. Approximately 800 individuals (mental health professionals and public) attended these workshops.We presented 2 workshops at international conferences; At the International Association for Forensic Psychotherapy (IAFP) we presented on Sexual Abuse by Mothers and at the Association for Training on Trauma and Attachment in Children (ATTACh) we presented on Techniques for Healing Attachment Trauma through an Interpersonal Neurobiology Lens. Approximately 120 mental health professionals attended these workshops. Community Glendon Staff donated over 250 volunteer consultation hours to the Santa Barbara Community, consulting on critical traumatic incidents of violence and suicide and natural disasters in the Santa Barbara County community.Glendon Staff donated over 200 hours to provide consultation and referrals to at-risk individuals, youth agencies, schools, and mental health professionals, providing services in person and on-line. We offered suicide prevention training at local schools as a public service, and clinical training to staff at nonprofit agencies.We continued consultation as a founding organization in the Mental Health Advisory Task Force, a group responding to the mental health needs of youth in our community hosted by Santa Barbara City College We shared media interviews and social media posts addressing mental health issues, reaching thousands of listeners and readers on critical issues in mental health. Glendon staff offered over 100 hours of supervision for Psychology interns from Westmont University on community education and outreach.Online/New MediaOver 750 individuals attended our in-depth online Courses. Over 750 individuals (both mental health professionals and general audiences) attended our in-depth online courses on critical mental health topics, such as suicide prevention, parenting, attachment and relationships.Our website www.PsychAlive.org, which offers psychological resources for the public, is continuously being updated with free content on myriad psychological topics, including self-development, relationships, parenting, attachment, depression and suicide and violence prevention. ResearchA research study was approved and is underway utilizing the Firestone scales for Self Destructive Behavior. Findings will be released in 2026.Film We have produced and continue to share over 1000 videos on PsychAlive.org and YouTube, as well as other social media outlets, to educate the public on crucial psychological issues. These clips are available to the public at no cost. We have over 45,000 subscribers on YouTube.
