ADSLA presents year-round educational programs centered on the early 20th century era known as the Jazz Age (1920 - 1949). Programs help to fund the historic preservation advocacy activities of the organization. In 2025 we produced a pop up museum experience in celebration of the Centennial of the 1925 Paris Exposition of Decorative and Industrial Arts. Over 800 people visited the three day exhibition. We engaged an intern from USC's Preservation Studies program in the 2025 Summer and Fall semester. She completed a series of GISStoryMaps of Art Deco buildings in Los Angeles. These maps will be added to our website. ADSLA programs are inclusive, serving a diverse population of persons interested in cultural history. We welcomed approximately 4,400 people to our 27 educational and fundraising programs this fiscal year. A significant portion of the membership is comprised of senior citizens who rely on ADSLA for an opportunity to engage in multi-generational social activities outside the home. Our outreach extends to our online presence where 32.2K Instagram and 28K Facebook followers can obtain mini-history lessons and participate in our advocacy by supporting the campaigns we originate or support through communication with city officials.
