Mission

The Joint Safety Institute is an independent trust formed in collective bargaining between the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 18, to improve safety on the job for the employees represented by Local 18 by developing and delivering safety instruction, information sharing, mentoring and research and establishing programs and systems to support this mutual objective.
