THE FOUNDATION IS DEDICATED TO EDUCATING THOUSANDS OF DISENFRANCHISED, UNDERREPRESENTED STUDENTS THROUGHOUT GREATER LOS ANGELES COUNTY AND PROVIDING THEM WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR HANDS-ON SCIENCE CURRICULUM. THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS HAVE ALREADY BEEN EMPOWERED THROUGH THIS PROGRAM TO LEARN THROUGH READING AND WORKING IN GROUPS TO SOLVE SCIENTIFIC PROBLEMS IN THEIR ENVIRONMENT. THE FOUNDATION ALSO SEEKS TO FOSTER STUDENT INTEREST IN THE PURSUIT OF FUTURE SCIENTIFIC CAREERS IN THE FIELDS OF ENTOMOLOGY, BIOLOGY, AND PUBLIC HEALTH.
