DHE was one of 100 organizations from across the country selected by Charter Spectrum as a community center rebuild site, receiving $20,000 in technology and furniture upgrades for the supported employment classroom and HR training room, as well as a donation of $50,000 per year from 2022 through 2025. Desert Haven has further been recognized as a Certified Green Zone by the American Green Zone Alliance and received the William J. "Pete" Knight Achievement in Reducing Emissions (AIRE) Award from the Antelope Valley Air Quality Management District for eliminating nearly 400 tons of exhaust emissions through permanent retirement of gas-powered grounds maintenance equipment.
