The Foundation participated in several zoom meetings with members of the US Delegation to the International Whaling Commission (IWC) in our ongoing efforts to stop the killing of cetaceans by Japan, Norway, Iceland, Greenland, and the Faroe islands. There were also coordination calls leading up to the IWC meeting in Lima, Peru scheduled for September 2024. The Foundation continued to participate in zoom calls with Whales Need Us Coalition of which it is a founding member. * The Foundation continued its support of Ed Lyman and our research team in the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary researching the overall health of North Pacific Humpback Whale population. * The Foundation continued its support of the International Whale Disentanglement Team. The Foundation continued its support of the San Ignacio Lagoon gray whale research team. The Foundation continued its support as a founding member of the International Ocean Noise Coalition and the North American Noise Coalition. * The Foundation sponsored and participated in filming expeditions to Hawaii, The Silver Bank, San Ignacio Lagoon, and the Bahamas to gather Hi-Def stock footage of humpback whales, spotted and bottlenose dolphins, gray whales, and other marine life for use in its films, campaigns, and PSAs.The Foundation continually expanded, updated, and re-designed its educational and informational web sites, www.savethewhalesagain.org and www.whaleman.org which are available to anyone worldwide with computer access. The Foundation donated images and video footage to like-minded environmental groups for use in their public education campaigns reaching millions worldwide.
