Mission

PIERCE'S PLEDGE IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO KEEP CHILDREN SAFE DURING THE STRESSFUL AND EMOTIONALLY VOLATILE TIME OF CUSTODY DISPUTES. WE BELIEVE THAT BY STORING GUNS OUTSIDE OF THE HOME DURING THESE TIMES, WE CAN DO JUST THAT. WE REPRESENT A VOICE AND ADVOCATE FOR THE CHILD AND WORK WITH LAWYERS, MEDIATORS, CUSTODY PARTNERS, AND JUDGES. A CHILD CAN'T ASK A PARENT TO STORE A GUN, BUT WE CAN.

Education: Pierces Pledge offers a multifaceted education program designed to support professionals and the public in matters related to child custody and gun violence prevention. A key component of our program is the toolkit, a comprehensive resource available for free as a PDF. Developed to assist judges, attorneys, mental health practitioners, mediators, court staff, and other professionals, the toolkit provides valuable guidance on handling child custody cases effectively and responsibly. In addition to our toolkit, we focus on gun violence prevention by raising public awareness through educational campaigns and advertising. Our team is also dedicated to maintaining a gun storage map, a continually updated resource that lists secure firearm storage locations to promote responsible gun ownership. Furthermore, we actively participate in conferences for family law professionals, where we present our pledge and share essential resources like the toolkit, ensuring that legal experts have the knowledge and tools needed to support families. Through these initiatives, Pierces Pledge remains committed to education, safety, and responsible advocacy.
