THE GLIOBLASTOMA MULTIFORME (GBM) IS THE MOST COMMON AND DEADLIEST FORM OF ADULT BRAIN CANCER. TO DATE THERE HAS BEEN LITTLE PROGRESS MADE IN IDENTIFYING A CURE FOR THIS DISEASE, WITH THE AVERAGE LIFE EXPECTANCY AFTER DIAGNOSIS SADLY BEING AROUND 14 MONTHS. (CONTINUED SCHED O)(CONTINUED FROM PAGE 2, PART III, 4A) THE ORGANIZATION INTENDS TO FUNDRAISE FROM THE PUBLIC, INCLUDING THROUGH FUNDRAISING EVENTS, AND ALL OF THE FUNDS RAISED BY THE ORGANIZATION WILL BE USED TO FUND AND ADVANCE FURTHER RESEARCH AND THERAPIES FOR CANCER, INCLUDING IN PARTICULAR GBM.THE ORGANIZATION INTENDS TO HAVE A SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY BOARD (SAB), WHICH WILL BE COMPOSED OF EXPERT MEDICAL AND RESEARCH PROFESSIONALS, TO ADVISE THE ORGANIZATION ON THE PROJECTS THAT HAVE THE MOST VIABLE PATH TO A CURE FOR GBM. THE ORGANIZATION WILL USE THE FEEDBACK OF ITS SAB TO DETERMINE THE MOST IMPORTANT RESEARCH PRIORITIES AND TO SOLICIT AND FUND RESEARCH PROPOSALS AIMED AT ADDRESSING THESE PRIORITIES. THE ORGANIZATION WILL ENSURE THAT ANY GRANTS IT MAKES ARE SELECTED AND DISTRIBUTED THROUGH AN OPEN AND DISINTERESTED PROCESS AND THROUGH EXISTING ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL INFRASTRUCTURES.
