Community Resiliency Hub, Community Engagement & Neighborhood Trust Builders - RSSC operated under the fiscal sponsorship of the Tides Center for nine years. In May 2024, RSSC filed for its 501(c)(3) status and transitioned from fiduciary oversight by the Tides Center to independent operations on October 1, 2024. Remaining funds from the fiscal agent were subsequently received. The Community Resiliency Hub serves as a central location for office space, storage, community meetings, trauma-informed systems training, youth and adult organizing, civic engagement, and workforce development. Through the Neighborhood Trust Builders and Health Equity Initiatives, RSSC trained and deployed Community Health Workers (CHWs) to assist residents in navigating challenges related to housing, healthcare, education, and food access. In alignment with our healing-centered and equity-based model, community engagement remains a core strategy. In 2024, RSSC deepened its commitment to community engagement through a wide range of impactful initiatives. The organization led over 70 original events and participated in more than 40 external gatherings, reaching more than 2,000 residents and building relationships with over 100 partner organizations. These efforts resulted in 300 new contacts and the recruitment of 50 new volunteers. Highlights included the South Stockton Candidate Forum, which drew 350 attendees and additional online participants, and the South Stockton Resident Summit, which welcomed over 400 attendees and featured presentations from more than 20 organizations. RSSC also played a key role in the BUILD Health Challenge, convening equity-focused workshops and health education sessions in collaboration with Trust for Public Land, Dignity Health, and CommonSpirit. Through its Trauma-Informed Systems 101 training, RSSC equipped over 150 agency staff with foundational knowledge, and certified 15 local trainers via the Trauma Transcended 360 program, led by the Justice League of San Joaquin. The Heal the Healers wellness circle provided support to more than 100 first responders, therapists, and frontline workers. Additionally, RSSC actively participated in the Accountable Community for Health (ACH) in the Central Valley and contributed to planning for the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), reinforcing its role as a trusted convener and advocate for health equity.

The Birthing Tree Community Lactation Hub - Launched in April 2024, The Birthing Tree provides culturally affirming maternal wellness support for Black and Brown birthing families. The hub offers breastfeeding and pumping accommodations, doula access, diabetes and lactation education, and wraparound infant care support. Key accomplishments: 4 Community Baby Showers with 32 partner organizations, supporting 150 families, 60 parents participated in Black Birth Equity listening sessions and surveys, 15 individuals completed diabetes education focused on postpartum health, Distributed over 1,000 health-related resources, gift incentives, and participation stipends through charitable donations
