Program expenses include nest-marking materials field supplies computer software and equipment for required reporting and fuel and maintenance for ATVs used in beach patrol operations. The organization also works with construction companies operating on storm-damaged beaches to support compliance with protected species permit requirements. Approximately 80 volunteers participate in these efforts serving in rotating shifts of 3 to 9 hours.
