GIEF conducts in-depth policy research that forms the evidence base for its advocacy work. The organization applies an Importance Neglectedness Tractability INT framework to identify topics where targeted advocacy can have meaningful impact. Research focuses on governance challenges institutional effectiveness technological adaptation and systems affecting public welfare in domestic and international contexts. Each project is designed to produce specific actionable policy recommendations for direct engagement with decision-makers. Well-researched recommendations are more likely to be adopted by policymakers contributing to improved governance and democratic stability.
