Terms and Conditions of Use

Last Updated: February 2, 2026

Welcome to 990finder.com (the "Site" or the "Service"). This Service is operated by Trantor SpA, a company organized under the laws of Chile ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Site, creating an account, subscribing to communications, or accessing any data, analytics, or outputs from the Service, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Site.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Trantor SpA.

1. Description and Nature of the Service

The Service provides tools to search, view, format, normalize, and display publicly available United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 990 filings and related public data concerning nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations.

The Service may present:

1.1 Informational and Non-Authoritative Nature

You expressly acknowledge and agree that:

2. No Reliance and No Decision-Making Use

You expressly agree that you will not rely on the Service or any output, metric, insight, ratio, summary, or visualization for decisions involving, including but not limited to:

You acknowledge that the Service may contain errors, omissions, delays, algorithmic limitations, or contextual inaccuracies and is not a substitute for independent verification, professional review, or official IRS documentation.

3. Nature of Content as Protected Opinion and No Endorsement

The Company does not endorse, approve, certify, rate, rank, or recommend any nonprofit, charity, foundation, or tax-exempt organization.

Any metrics, ratios, calculations, summaries, visualizations, highlights, risk indicators, efficiency-related assessments, algorithmically generated insights, or single-metric rankings and sorted lists provided by the Service constitute opinions of the Company based solely on publicly available data. These opinions are protected expression under the First Amendment to the United States Constitution (to the extent U.S. law applies) and equivalent free speech protections in other jurisdictions. They are not statements of fact, do not imply factual assertions about any organization beyond the underlying public data, and are provided solely for informational and educational purposes. They are automated, non-authoritative, and non-comparative in nature.

Rankings and lists based on a single metric are purely descriptive sortings and do not express any overall opinion on organizational quality, performance, impact, governance, or suitability.

Outputs may include automated factual extractions, transformations, and computational results that may contain technical or processing errors and are not guaranteed to reflect the underlying source documents accurately.

3.1 Rankings and Sorted Lists

The Service may display certain automated, data-driven rankings or sorted lists (such as "Largest Nonprofits," "Highest Assets," "Fastest Growing," or "Most Efficient") generated by ordering organizations according to a single publicly reported metric from IRS Form 990 filings (for example: total revenue, total assets, revenue growth, or program expense ratio).

These rankings and lists:

No single ranking, no individual metric, and no combination of rankings or metrics displayed on the Service is sufficient or intended to measure the overall merit, effectiveness, efficiency, or suitability of any nonprofit organization. Users must conduct independent due diligence and consult official sources and professional advisors before making any such decisions.

4. Methodology and Transparency

Detailed explanations of our data sourcing, processing, normalization, derived metrics, ratios, calculations, algorithmic methodologies, and the criteria used for any rankings or sorted lists are available at https://990finder.com/methodology (the "Methodology Page").

We strive for consistency and accuracy in our processing, but all outputs remain subject to the disclaimers and limitations in these Terms.

Rankings are generated by sorting organizations solely by one selected IRS-reported field. They do not adjust for organizational size, mission type, geographic location, multi-year trends, accounting differences, or any other contextual factors.

The Methodology Page is descriptive only and does not create any contractual obligation, representation, or warranty.

5. Eligibility and Account Responsibilities

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

You represent and warrant that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country or entity subject to U.S. or international trade sanctions, and that your use of the Service complies with all applicable export control laws.

You agree to:

We may suspend or terminate access at our sole discretion for violation of these Terms, misuse of the Service, or risk to platform security or integrity.

6. Acceptable and Responsible Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful, ethical, and informational purposes.

You may not, directly or indirectly:

7. APIs and Programmatic Access

We may provide APIs or automated access to portions of the Service subject to additional terms, authentication, rate limits, and usage policies.

You may not:

We may suspend or revoke API access at any time for misuse, excessive load, or security or legal risk.

8. Data Sources, Accuracy, and Limitations

The Service relies on publicly available IRS data, including Form 990 filings and related government records.

You acknowledge and agree that:

The Company makes no representations or warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, timeliness, reliability, or fitness for any particular use.

9. Right to Challenge and Request Correction

If you represent a nonprofit or tax-exempt organization and believe that information displayed by the Service is materially inaccurate due to demonstrable technical errors in processing or formatting (and not due to the underlying public data or opinion-based insights), you may submit a correction request to:

990finder@trantorfintech.com

We will review bona fide requests in good faith within 30 days and correct demonstrated technical errors where appropriate. The Company is not obligated to modify, remove, or alter lawful, accurately sourced public records or opinion-based content. All decisions regarding corrections are final and do not constitute an admission of liability.

10. Privacy and Personal Data

Trantor SpA acts as the data controller for purposes of applicable data protection laws, including but not limited to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.

The Service may process personal data contained in public IRS filings, including names, titles, and compensation information of officers and directors.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that:

Processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and describes:

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR AVAILABILITY.

The Company does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.

Any public-facing descriptions, marketing materials, or feature lists are for illustrative purposes only and do not constitute guarantees, warranties, or binding representations.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Trantor SpA, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any:

This limitation applies whether the claim is based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, statute, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, death, or personal injury where such limitation is prohibited by mandatory applicable law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Trantor SpA and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

14. Intellectual Property

All software, platform design, formatting, algorithms, derived metrics, analytics models, and original content are the intellectual property of Trantor SpA or its licensors.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the Service for permitted personal or internal business uses only, excluding resale, redistribution, or commercialization without authorization.

15. Subscriptions and Fees (Future Features)

Certain premium features, enhanced access, or additional services may require a paid subscription in the future. If and when implemented, subscription details, pricing, billing terms, and cancellation policies will be clearly provided at the time of subscription and will be governed by these Terms.

16. Third-Party Links and Sources

The Service may link to third-party websites, including IRS platforms. The Company does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for third-party content, accuracy, availability, or practices.

17. No Affiliation or Government Endorsement

990Finder and Trantor SpA are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the Internal Revenue Service or any government authority.

18. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

You and Trantor SpA agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules (or, for non-U.S. users, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) rules where applicable).

Arbitration shall be conducted in Santiago, Chile, in English (or virtually upon mutual agreement). You expressly waive any right to participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action, or class arbitration. This provision applies worldwide to the maximum extent permitted by law. If any part of this arbitration provision is deemed unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in effect. This provision does not preclude actions in small claims courts for claims within their jurisdiction. Arbitration may be conducted virtually by default if requested by either party.

If arbitration is found unenforceable, disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Santiago, Chile.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile, without regard to conflict of laws principles. To the extent U.S. law applies to any claim, these Terms recognize and do not waive constitutional protections, including those under the First Amendment.

20. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify these Terms or the Service at any time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where feasible, by additional notice (e.g., email or in-Service alert).

Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

21. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Sections regarding disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, intellectual property, dispute resolution, and governing law shall survive any termination of these Terms.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy (and any future subscription terms), constitute the entire agreement between you and Trantor SpA regarding the Service.

These Terms are solely between you and Trantor SpA and do not confer any rights upon any third party as a beneficiary.
