WE RESCUED 504 DOGS AND CATS (325 VIA ADOPTION AND 179 THROUGH TRANSPORTATION), INCLUDING THOSE ANIMALS STILL UNDER THE CONTROL OF OLAR AND ITS VOLUNTEER FOSTER FAMILIES. SINCE STARTING OUR TRANSPORTATION EFFORTS IN 2016 WE HAVE SAVED OVER 1,300 ANIMALS. AS A RESCUE, WE IDENTIFY AND BRING DOGS AND CATS UNDER OUR UMBRELLA OF FOSTER CARE. WE PROVIDE MEDICAL SERVICES THROUGH LICENSED VETERINARIANS. WE PROVIDE THE FOSTER PARENTS WITH FOOD AND SERVICES TO MAINTAIN THE PETS WHILE PERMANENT LOVING HOMES ARE FOUND. WE SCREEN ALL FOSTER HOMES AS WELL AS PERMANENT HOMES PRIOR TO PLACEMENT OF ANY PET. ONCE PLACED, THE PERMANENT FAMILIES ARE PROVIDED TRAINING FOR THEIR ADOPTED PETS AND A GUARANTEE THAT WE WILL ALWAYS TAKE THE PET BACK IF THE ADOPTION DOES NOT WORK OUT. ADDITIONALLY WE TRANSPORT PETS FROM THE SAVANNAH AREA TO OTHER AREAS AROUND THE COUNTRY THAT DO NOT HAVE THE AVAILABLE ADOPTABLE PET POPULATION THAT WE HAVE IN SAVANNAH.
