We aspire to high ethical and professional standards and strive to act as the unified voice of our membership regarding the regulation, licensing, and legislation that governs our profession. AIA Montana embraces equity, diversity, and inclusion both within our organization and the communities we serve. We contracted a Lobbyist for services during the 2025 Legislative Session in which we monitored bills, surveyed members, met with Legislators and successfully modified a bill.

Value: Connection - AIA Montana fosters mentorship and collegiality within our organization, believing it is our duty as architects to actively nurture collaboration in order to contribute to community health, welfare, and safety. We see opportunity in ingenuity and support the process of innovation and discovery shared by architects as our collective careers continue to grow and evolve. AIA Montana members strive to have a generational impact on Montana communities through the built environment, actively engaging communities to create meaningful and positive change through design. We organized our annual conference, providing education opportunities for licensure renewal, networking, learning opportunities, etc. In addition we continue to support and strengthen our relationship with Montana State University School of Architecture and the AIAS via scholarships.

We actively acknowledge and honor great work, celebrating design excellence that integrates environmental performance and social equity. We recognize the fluid, transitory nature of our profession and the adaptation necessary to meet the challenges of our changing world, supporting the transformative evolution of hands-on problem solving thereby encouraging exceptional design in architecture.
